We are working with a growing Law Firm, looking to bring on an experienced Legal Assistant, to join their team. Specifically, they are looking for someone with 3 years of experience.
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience, specifically within insurance defense or personal injury law.
- Proficiency in legal research databases (LexisNexis/Westlaw) and document management/e-discovery platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with insurance adjusters and corporate clients
Responsibilities:
- Maintain case files, monitor litigation deadlines, track court dockets, and ensure timely compliance with scheduling orders
- Draft standard discovery requests and responses (interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admissions); review, organize, and summarize medical records, billing statements, and insurance policy documents.
- Draft routine pleadings, motions, answers, and third-party practice documents under attorney supervision.
The annual salary for this position is between 75k-85k. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
