Investment Operations Specialist
Assistant to the Director of Finance
Location: Remote (Tri-State NYC Area)
Compensation: $55,000–$60,000 Base Salary Profit Sharing
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and trustworthy Investment Operations Specialist to work directly with our Director of Finance. This role is ideal for an early-career professional who enjoys building processes, managing complex information, and supporting investment operations in a fast-paced environment.
You will play a key role in facilitating, tracking, and administering operational, financial, and investment activities across our angel investing platform. The position offers broad exposure to finance, legal documentation, fund administration, investor relations, and venture investing, with increasing responsibility as you grow in the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, record, and follow up on investment activity and operational matters.
- Maintain and organize legal, financial, and investment documentation for portfolio companies, SPVs, and funds.
- Support the administration of Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), including:
- Tracking initial and follow-on investments
- Coordinating investor communications and reporting
- Managing shareholder consent and voting processes
- Assist with fund administration and operational reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, processes, and internal systems.
- Become the internal expert on Dealum, our deal flow management platform.
- Provide ongoing operational and administrative support to the Director of Finance and broader investment team.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in a fast-paced professional environment.
- Experience in finance, operations, administration, investor support, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of basic financial concepts and a genuine interest in venture capital, angel investing, and startups.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a passion for process improvement and attention to detail.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
- Collaborative team player with a flexible, solutions-oriented mindset.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
