What You’ll Do
- Execute trades across fixed income and related securities
- Partner with Portfolio Managers and the Head Fixed Income Trader to source attractive bond opportunities within targeted credit parameters
- Assist in the management and implementation of customized fixed-income portfolios
- Build and maintain strong relationships with broker-dealers and sell-side trading desks
- Monitor market activity, significant holdings, and sector developments impacting portfolio positioning
- Deliver timely market color, trading commentary, and investment intelligence to internal stakeholders
- Reconcile trade blotters and ensure accurate trade reporting
- Support portfolio management and trading systems, including maintaining customized rules and workflows
- Collaborate closely with Compliance to ensure adherence to FINRA and MSRB regulations
- Provide cross-functional support to trading and operations teammates as needed
What They’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
- Active Series 7, 66 (or 63&65) licenses required
- Series 52 license is strongly preferred
- 1–3 years of fixed income trading experience on the buy-side or sell-side
- Municipal bond trading experience
- Experience using multiple fixed-income trading platforms
- Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
