About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Deerfield Supportive Living. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals for our residents while meeting their dietary needs and preferences. You will work closely with the dietary team to support menu planning, maintain efficient kitchen operations, and create a clean, safe, and welcoming dining experience for our residents.

This is a full-time, daytime position, and some weekend availability will be required.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as a cook, preferably in healthcare or senior living
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with seniors or individuals with special dietary needs
• Background in menu planning and inventory management

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and resident preferences
• Collaborate with the dietary team on menu planning and meal schedules
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
• Follow proper food storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
