Every other weekend availability required
About the Role
Deerfield Supportive Living is seeking a dedicated and dependable Housekeeper to join our team. As part of the Maintenance Department, this role is essential in helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents.
The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning resident apartments as well as common and public areas throughout the community. This position works closely with the Maintenance Director and Executive Director to ensure all cleanliness standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily housekeeping duties in resident apartments and shared spaces
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Support departmental cleanliness standards alongside the Maintenance Director
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and vendors
- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and welcoming community atmosphere
Qualifications
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred, ideally in Independent Living, Assisted Living, or Supportive Living
- High school diploma or equivalent; must complete required state training
- Experience working with seniors strongly preferred
- Compassionate, dependable, and service-oriented mindset
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Must meet health requirements and pass background checks
