What are the responsibilities and job description for the Work From Home Recruiting Specialist Position position at ASB Freight Co.?
Are you comfortable talking with people, working independently, and managing your own schedule? We’re expanding our remote recruiting team and looking for motivated individuals interested in helping Class A CDL drivers connect with trucking opportunities nationwide.
This is a fully remote, 1099 independent contractor position with commission-based compensation. There is no hourly wage or guaranteed salary.
Previous recruiting or transportation experience is helpful, but not required. Training is provided.
The Role
CDL Recruiters are responsible for developing and maintaining a pipeline of qualified drivers. Responsibilities include:
- Connecting with drivers by phone, text, and email
- Reviewing driver experience and employment preferences
- Identifying available positions that match driver qualifications
- Following up throughout the application and hiring process
- Tracking applicants within our recruiting systems
- Staying in regular communication with your team
We provide access to thousands of driver leads, and recruiters are also encouraged to build additional lead sources through referrals, networking, social media, and other methods.
Flexible Remote Schedule
You’ll have the freedom to set your own working hours and recruit from home.
While there are no set shifts, this role requires initiative. Successful recruiters consistently communicate with drivers, follow up on applications, learn current job openings, and stay engaged.
Technology Requirements
Because recruiting is handled through multiple online systems, applicants must have:
- Laptop or computer
- Smartphone
- Reliable internet connection
- Basic computer and technology proficiency
- Ability to learn and comfortably navigate multiple online platforms
You should be able to search job opportunities, manage applicant information, communicate electronically, and learn new recruiting software without extensive technical assistance.
Training & Back Office Access
Training and ongoing support are provided.

Compensation & Growth
This is a commission-only 1099 opportunity with uncapped earning potential. Recruiters earn commission when drivers they recruit are successfully hired.
Because it takes time to learn the business and build a pipeline, we recommend starting part-time as a supplemental income opportunity. Recruiters can increase their time commitment as they begin producing consistent placements.
