The Banquet Bartender exemplifies high dining standards of presentation, set up, and service. The Banquet Bartender interacts in a friendly and efficient manner with all guests while serving beverages. You will be responsible for greeting, assisting, and serving guests at special functions and events. The banquet bartender will assist with preparation, clean up, serving guests, and respond to guest questions, complaints, and requests. The banquet bartender is responsible for the set-up and serving of alcoholic beverages to guests at all banquet functions, according to Events by Artisan standards. To be a successful banquet bartender, you should possess excellent customer service and communication skills. You should be professional, polite, and an efficient server.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Greeting guests as they enter the venue and helping them find their seats.
- Read, interpret and follow with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and follow instruction for service from Banquet Manager and/or Banquet Captain
- Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all glassware prior to use.
- Prepare banquet bar(s) for the function as dictated on the BEO.
- Attend pre-event meetings to be informed of schedules, serving duties, and menu
- Communicate with Banquet Manger and/or Banquet Captain throughout the function to ensure guest satisfaction
- Deliver beverages in a timely, efficient, and professional manner
- Interact in courteous and professional manner with all function guest to ensure exceptional guest experience
- Breakdown banquet bar, clean and ensure all alcoholic beverages have been returned to their appropriate storage location, and all garnishments are put away
- Participate in the clean-up after all functions including; floors, dishes, equipment and supplies have been properly cleaned and stored in their appropriate locations
- Supporting other team members to ensure an overall guest satisfaction event
- Maintain banquet office and storage spaces in a neat and orderly manner, stocked with any and all appropriate supplies necessary for food/beverage service functions.
Basic Qualifications & Skills
- Bartending experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred
- Must be flexible regarding scheduling based on business demands
- Successful completion of criminal background check
- Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
