Bartender Wanted at The Outsider

At The Outsider, Manistee’s award-winning tavern and pinball arcade the bar is one of the best seats in the house.

Guests come in for great drinks, smash burgers, crispy fries, pinball, and a fun night out. It’s your job to help make that experience feel welcoming, safe, and memorable.

We’ve built a reputation for great food and great experiences. Our smash burgers have earned:

Now we’re looking for someone who can help deliver a consistent, high-quality bar experience with friendly service, clean execution, and strong attention to detail.

If you’re upbeat, reliable, organized, and enjoy working with people in a fast-moving environment — this could be a great fit.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare drink orders safely, accurately, and efficiently
• Follow established drink recipes, presentation standards, and alcohol-handling best practices
• Practice excellent personal hygiene and wash hands frequently throughout each shift
• Provide friendly, welcoming service to guests at the bar
• Avoid over-serving guests and monitor intoxicated guests for unsafe or unruly behavior
• Communicate clearly with management, kitchen, and front-of-house teammates
• Keep the bar area clean, organized, stocked, and guest-ready
• Clean and monitor bar equipment for proper performance
• Log temperatures behind the bar and report hazardous readings to management
• Follow labeling and dating standards for premade drinks prepared in-house
• Handle alcohol responsibly and maintain a safe bar environment
• Stay coachable, receptive to training, and eager to grow bartending skills
• Collaborate with management on drink ideas, bar improvements, and guest experience
