We are seeking a Social Media Analyst to manage the succinct presentation of social media, paid media and influencer marketing activity across all clients on a three month contract. You will work alongside all teams at Artisan Council to help present their performance in the optimum way for our clients to easily glean insights, and for our internal team to continue to improve upon their strategic efforts.
As an ideal candidate you will have several years of experience in Social Media analytics, and a clear and succinct style of presenting data and recommending actionable insights using various technologies and programs to your advantage.
This will be a 3 month contract with Monday through Friday, 9am – 6pm working hours. This role will be remote, however as the successful candidate, if you are based in the New York City area, you will have access to the Artisan Council office, located in downtown NYC.

What will you be responsible for?
- Use query-based social analytics platforms and other tools to collect historical public social media data for analysis.
- Conduct audit-based competitive analysis, analyzing consumer conversations about clients and competitors; identify differences in brand perception, sentiment, and volume.
- Analyze owned, earned, and partnered content for learnings on campaign success and impact; identify gaps that present opportunities for brand positioning.
- Examine social chatter from audience segments to uncover patterns in consumer behavior and spot meaningful differences between groups.
- Serve as a trend spotter for social media and influencer marketing teams, identifying emerging patterns in large datasets and advising on future marketing strategies.
- Create charts and data visualizations for client presentations, pitch decks, and reports to convey key findings.
- Present complex data and synthesized insights in both written and visual forms, clearly and succinctly.
- Collaborate with colleagues across strategy, paid media, social, influencer, and creative teams to understand targets, KPIs, and formulate optimal reporting approaches.
- Formulate hypotheses and develop analysis plans to accurately test them using social media data.
- Share key insights and highlight critical information in all reporting, clearly communicating methodologies, results, and any biases present in the data or analysis.
- Where possible, identify manual reporting practices and implement automations to improve workflow and efficiency.
- Generate actionable insights on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis to drive demand growth, improve channel KPIs, and increase brand loyalty and consumer acquisition.
What kind of skills should you have?

- 3–4 years of experience in Social Media Analysis.
- Previous agency experience or experience across a variety of D2C brands
- Background in Analytics, Research, Communications, or Marketing.
- Proficiency in social media data analysis, interpretation, and presentation.
- Working knowledge of social media engagement metrics, analytics, and search.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, modeling, forecasting, and budget management. Comfortable manipulating large datasets quickly.
- Experience performing ad hoc analysis using data reporting tools.
- Demonstrated analytical experience, including forecasting and budgeting.
- Ability to take complex data and communicate insights clearly to internal and external partners.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving aptitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, including Google Sheets for data manipulation and Google Slides for compiling clear insights and presentations.
- Strong grasp of social analytics nuances and a deep understanding of how platforms and reporting tools vary, with the judgment to adapt workflows accordingly.
- Experience pulling and interpreting analytics via third-party tools and directly from native social platform dashboards across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, X, and LinkedIn.
- Familiarity with third-party analytics and social listening tools, and ability to evaluate data across multiple sources for consistency.
- Ability to manually update reports, trackers, and datasets quickly and accurately when automation is not available.
Monthly Pay Range: $5,000- $6,500 monthly
