Summary
Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial entries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
- Update and maintain fixed assets of the organization in the general ledger.
- Provide information for weekly cash flow planning.
- Generate accounts payable checks on a weekly basis and secure proper signatures.
- Generate wire transfers and ACH disbursements weekly.
- Review account distribution on vouchers for proper account allocation; review vouchers entered by accounting coordinators.
- Handle vendor inquiries and AP emails.
- Reconcile assigned asset and liability accounts before monthly financial statements are prepared.
- Prepare 1099s and transmittals to the IRS at year-end.
- Calculate and record prepaid entry.
- Complete the AP accrual entry during the financial close. Track receipt of invoices previously accrued.
- Receive purchase orders in Microsoft Dynamics SL purchasing module.
- Distribute monthly credit card activity to each card holder, review coding and record entry.
- Assist departments with expense details as requested, for variance explanations.
- Back up Accounting Coordinators in their absence.
- Observe safety requirements and report safety issues to Supervisor or Security.
- Work effectively with all Artis—Naples team members.
Education and Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- Three to five years of previous accounting and accounts payable experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software packages; Microsoft Dynamics SL preferred.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
