OE Metal Finisher- 2nd shift
General Description:
An Assembler welds or sets up for the assembly of parts. The assembler may also be required to repair defective parts. The assembler reports to the Assembly Supervisor.
This position is for 2nd shift, but the candidate will need to train on 1st shift for the 60-day probation period.

Responsibilities:
- Support and follow the Company Safety Programs
- Support and follow Quality & Environmental Programs
- Use hand pumps to apply adhesives
- Reads and follows process sheets to ensure proper assembly of the part for production
- Use of resistance welding equipment (weld guns and pedestal welder)
- General inspection of parts to meet quality standards
- Place finished parts in racks & label to maintain accurate inventory
- Inspect and identify defects using scuff pads, die stones and highlights
- Demonstrates proper metal finishing techniques using common tools
- Metal finishes OE product meeting customer shipping and quality requirements
- Trains other team members, ensuring proper metal finishing techniques are applied
- Maintain clean work area free of debris and trip hazards
- Perform all other work as deemed necessary by supervision
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to use measuring tools
- Ability to read and follow process sheet instructions
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Ability to make repeated hand, arm and shoulder motions
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Performed on the plant floor
- Spot welding guns, pedestal welding machines, adhesive pumps, hand tools, highlighting equipment, scuff pads, die stones, files, sander, sandpaper of carrying grit, protective gloves, arm guards, earplugs and safety glasses.
