Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our accounting team within a custom metal fabrication facility. This position is responsible for processing vendor invoices, reconciling statements, preparing payments, and maintaining accurate financial records while providing administrative support to the office.
Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Prepare and process weekly/monthly vendor payments.
- Upload payment files and maintain payment records.
- Reconcile company credit card statements.
- Maintain records for property taxes and company vehicle registrations.
- Assist with month-end closing activities.
- Respond to vendor inquiries by phone and email.
- File accounting documents and maintain organized records.
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist with general office duties.
- Support the Accounting Manager and office staff with additional administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree in Accounting or Business preferred.
- Previous Accounts Payable or accounting experience preferred.
- Manufacturing or metal fabrication experience is a plus.
- Strong data entry and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with accounting software preferred.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $23.00 per hour
