Job position description:
The Manager of lnformation Technology oversees all information technology resources including hardware and software with
a focus on optimizing the utilization of information technology to improve care and integration of clinical and financial data.
Expert in HIPAA rules and regulations relating to security. Acts as the HIPAA Security Office of the corporation.
Key Tasks And Responsibilities
- Maintains servers and technology including network monitoring and updates/upgrades of software.
- Assures that the organization is compliant with HIPAA security standards.
- Assists with database management and reporting.
- Chairs the organization's lnformation Technology Team.
- Optimizes the organization's information technology and assists with organizational information technology purchasing
- decisions.
- Monitors network performance and firewalls.
- Works with clinical staff in reporting accurate information and building reports that assist in monitoring quality.
- Works closely with software vendors to assure that the organization's technology investment is realized on an operational
- level.
- Assists with monthly data reporting.
- Builds and maintains interfaces between accounting and clinical systems to optimize accuracy and efficient operations.
- Designs and conducts effective training for employees on using the information systems in collaboration with financial and
- clinical staff.
- Maintains the confidentiality of the organization's information personally and through the development of policies and processes that limit access to employees who need access to sensitive information.
- Stays abreast of the information technology field through continuing education and networking with other professionals in
- the community health center and community mental health fields.
- Advises leadership in the use of technology to accomplish organizational goals.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software;

- Ability to work with strict confidentiality requirements, as well as utilize good judgment in the preparation and distribution of confidential information
- Certification is network security or networking is preferred, however, not required.
- Must have at least five (5) years of providing information technology services preferably in a health-related field.
