Position Overview:
Arthur Center Community Health is seeking a Dental Director to provide leadership, oversight, and clinical expertise within our dental program. The Dental Director will ensure that ACCH’s dental services meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and patient-centered care while supporting the growth and efficiency of the department. This role blends administrative leadership with clinical practice.
Arthur Center Community Health is seeking a Dental Director to provide leadership, oversight, and clinical expertise within our dental program. The Dental Director will ensure that ACCH’s dental services meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and patient-centered care while supporting the growth and efficiency of the department. This role blends administrative leadership with clinical practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership and direction for ACCH’s dental program.
- Supervise, mentor, and support dentists, hygienists, and dental support staff.
- Establish and monitor dental clinical protocols, quality assurance, and compliance with state, federal, HRSA, and FQHC guidelines.
- Collaborate with the medical and behavioral health leadership teams to promote integrated care.
- Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and program development for the dental department.
- Maintain a part-time clinical practice to provide direct patient care.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA standards.
- Represent ACCH in community and professional settings as a leader in oral health.
Qualifications:
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
- Current Missouri dental license in good standing (or eligibility to obtain).
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Experience working in an FQHC or community health environment is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of compliance regulations (HRSA, OSHA, HIPAA) and best practices in clinical dentistry.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
