Artemis is seeking a full-time junior-level Administrative Support Specialist with experience managing a broad range of administrative and technical support tasks in a federal, large-scale and/or consulting environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written skills, the ability to successfully deliver general office support tasks and a solid understanding of traditional administrative support technologies in the office space (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, databases).
The Administrative Support Specialist role requires a self-starter, proactive problem solver and action-oriented team player with previous experience working with senior-level executives and managing sensitive information. This position needs an individual that is committed to providing superior service, poised under pressure and has a positive and flexible attitude.

This is a contingent hire position.
This position must be performed on-site at the government location, Houston TX. Occasional travel may be required.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform record and file management functions, electronic and physical, maintenance and accurate data gathering and data entry.
- Assist hiring managers, supervisors and leadership with in- and out-processing of civilian employees.
- Research, implement and explain office operational policies, procedures and requirements to a variety of stakeholders using excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Provide phone and desk coverage for assigned division, directorate or office.
- Coordinate and manage calendars, schedules and travel arrangements.
- Manage official correspondence (e.g., letters, memoranda, interoffice communications, data, staff summary sheets, classified or sensitive reports).
- Prepare time and attendance reports through an automated system and respond to requests for information such as reports, suspense dates, forms and more.
- Maintain and populate various databases and spreadsheets and use those products to track suspense actions, manage workload, maintain customer requests and more.
- Provide advice on effective management of workload and assignments.
- Create a variety of documents including, but not limited to, reports, spreadsheets, presentations, newsletters, brochures, outgoing letters, memoranda and corporate correspondence.
- Oversee the destruction of classified documents and files with sensitive information.
- Reserve conference rooms and answer conference room-related questions within the assigned directorate, division or office.
- Provide day-to-day office management tasks such as inventory, stocking supplies and maintaining office equipment.
- Prepare budget reports regarding annual budget projections pertaining to office supplies, training and equipment.
- Serve as the government-owned vehicle coordinator within the assigned office by preparing new requests, maintaining logs, reporting mileage, and dispatching vehicles.
- Make and process travel arrangements, process travel reports and manage travel logistics.
- Manage package (classified and unclassified) logistics such as distribution, pick up and tracking.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of experience.
- High school diploma
- Active Secret clearance required.
- Demonstrated ability to use and troubleshoot Microsoft Office Suite software.
- Strategic thinker with a forward-looking approach to marketing trends and technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Experience supporting complex projects and transformation efforts within the federal government.
- Comfortability with supporting complex client relationships.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
