Position Summary

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing finance department in Smithtown, NY. In this high-impact role, you'll go beyond journal entries—you’ll support pricing strategies, analyze cost structures, and contribute directly to business decisions.
Essential Job Duties
- Manage monthly and year-end close processes
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Analyze labor, overhead, and indirect costs for accurate pricing
- Support bids, RFPs, and contract renewals with financial data
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Ops & Leadership
- Assist with audits, tax filings, and internal process improvements
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA or pursuing = bonus!)
- 4–7 years of experience, 2 years in cost accounting would be a plus!
- Strong knowledge of GAAP advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Experience with ERP systems (TEAM Financial Systems is a plus)
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities
The expected hiring range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and location.
