What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Paralegal position at Armstrong Teasdale?
Reports To: Office Manager
Summary Description: The Litigation Paralegal supports attorneys throughout all legal processes including depositions, trial preparation and trial execution. Area of focus could be Litigation or Intellectual Property Litigation. This position is expected to meet or exceed a billable hour model.

- Assists attorneys in research, drafting, and revision of discovery, motions, judgments and dismissals
- Attends trials and assists in witness lists
- Prepares, executes and downloads court filings including electronic filings, Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and state filings, and court pleadings
- Maintains compliance deadlines through docketing administration
- Draft client correspondence for attorneys
- Conducts legal research, compiles and organizes materials in order to prepare for depositions, hearings and trials
- May prepare discovery production, schedule depositions, and check case citations
- May obtain records and work with experts in all areas of litigation
- May serve as a point of contact for clients and may interpret data for clients and team

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education: Associate’s degree in paralegal studies
Required Licenses and/or Certifications: Paralegal certificate or degree
Required Experience: 2 years in legal industry or equivalent transferrable skills from industries such as insurance, government, regulatory/compliance administration; skilled in Microsoft Office
Preferred Experience: 3-5 years as a Litigation Paralegal
Supervisory Responsibilities: Indirect
Physical Activity: The employee will be required to sit for prolonged periods and work on a computer.
Travel Required: 5%
