Armstrong Teasdale LLP is seeking a Lateral Associate with employee benefits and executive compensation expertise to join its Corporate Services Group as an Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Associate in our St. Louis office. The ideal candidate will have 4 years of experience in reviewing employee benefit plans, agreements and compensation programs for merger and acquisition transactions, as well as assisting in the design, implementation and advising on such programs for businesses and organizations of various sizes and structures.

Required Education: Juris Doctor
Required Licenses and/or Certifications: Licensed to practice law in good standing in one or more jurisdictions where the Firm conducts business; must maintain applicable license renewal and CLE requirements
Preferred Experience: 4 years’ experience assisting in designing, implementing and advising on employee benefits plans, executive plans and other transactional work; substantial experience in drafting and reviewing sophisticated corporate documents. Prior experience working at a law firm is a plus.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Indirect - actively utilizes support staff or junior associates to ensure client satisfaction
Physical Activity: The employee will be required to sit (or utilize a standing desk) for prolonged periods and work on a computer
Travel Required: Less than 10%
