Registered Nurse (RN) - Perioperative Care

Schedule

PM Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM, 3x12 hour shifts per week

The Registered Nurse (RN) in perioperative care is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through comprehensive assessments, clinical skills, and effective documentation. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient experiences and outcomes.

• Conduct thorough and systematic assessments from pediatric to geriatric patients.


• Demonstrate and apply competent clinical nursing skills and emergency procedures.


• Maintain accurate and complete documentation in compliance with guidelines.


• Uphold professional practice responsibilities and identify self-growth opportunities.


• Engage with patients and families to enhance satisfaction and understanding of care.


• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals and safe transfer techniques.


• Individualize patient care according to surgical procedures, types of anesthesia, and patient needs.


• Educate patients and families about surgical procedures and provide post-operative assessments.


• Support pre-admission testing processes and evaluate orders for appropriateness.

• 1 year of nursing experience required.


• BLS Certification required.


• Current RN License required.


• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
