Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient production runs, maintaining high-quality output, and keeping the work environment safe and organized.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and maintain production machinery and equipment in adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize machine downtime.
• Troubleshoot machinery malfunctions and make minor adjustments or repairs.
• Inspect finished products for quality, report defects, and carry out minor rework as necessary.
• Assist with setup and changeover of production lines.
• Maintain accurate production data and documentation (e.g., quantities, cycle times, machine status).
• Keep your work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols.
• Collaborate closely with supervisors and team members to achieve production targets.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance production efficiency and quality.
• Read job traveler/bill of materials to ensure correct components are used.
• Record production in Plex.
• Complete all required production records.
• Inspect all helmets before moving to the next operation or leaving department.
• Be familiar with quality defects and place helmets on hold as needed.
• Daily cleaning and preventative maintenance as needed in department (equipment and general area).
• Keep track of inventory and supplies.
• Report and work with Lead on issues that arise within the department.
• Work in a safe manner at all times.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or production environments is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic troubleshooting.
• Comfortable reading technical documents, manuals, or blueprints.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift up to around 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
