What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paint Technician position at ARMORSOURCE LLC?

Job Purpose:

The Paint Technician is responsible for the proper application of paints – one of the last major aesthetic and functional processes in the assembly of helmets. They operate painting machines and tools and use the specified paint mixes in according with engineering specifications, painting procedures and standards.

Duties:

Verify surfaces in preparation for paint application
Mix paint to match color specifications
Implement the paint mixes as specified by the engineers
Pour paint into spray guns and adjust nozzles and paint mixes for proper paint flow and coating thickness.
Maintain correct inventory
Operate automated paint systems
Assist the industrial engineers in ensuring that the painting processes adopted are performed in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible.
Assist in the development of new paint solutions
Monitor painting operations to identify flaws, such as runs and streaks, and correct their causes
Wear protective apparel and face masks, including a respirator, against spray fumes

Other duties as needed
