This position is responsible for driving parts and service sales while managing key customer accounts. This role serves as a critical connection between customers, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring timely, accurate service and exceptional customer satisfaction.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide industry leading customer satisfaction. Effectively communicate with customers, vendors, and other employees.
- Proactively call on customers to promote and sell parts and service solutions.
- Manage key accounts, including parts sales, service coordination, and warranty support.
- Accurately process parts sales orders, work orders, invoicing, and credit memos in a timely manner.
- Monitor and communicate order status on parts orders and service work.
- Oversee the progress of parts orders and service work from start to finish, including clear and timely communication with customers, vendors, and other employees as needed.
- Create service tickets as necessary.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the various parts carried in inventory.
- Maintain a solid understanding of parts inventory and management and assist as needed in inventory management and receiving.
- Learn and understand various equipment vendors’ parts operations, including their procedures to process orders and returns.
- Enter customer and vendor interactions into the CRM system to maintain up-to-date records.
- Maintain a proficient working knowledge of the CRM system.
- Resolve any customer concerns promptly and professionally to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
- Ensure parts orders are placed accurately and delivered on time, working closely with vendors and internal departments, and ensure parts and sales orders are timely invoiced to customers.
- Work closely with the Parts and Service departments to provide support to meet operational needs and customer requests.
- Adhere to all Company Policies and Work Rules.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Consistently demonstrate integrity, honesty, and ethical behavior.
- Familiarity with inventory control and vendor ordering systems.
- Strong relationship-building abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills and comfortable working with various departments.
- Able to work independently and to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines with frequent interruptions.
- Proficient in CRM systems and MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the job.
- Class A CDL or willingness to obtain.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Hours will be 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Flexibility to work when required and may exceed a 40-hour workweek with some overnight travel and weekend work. The position is exempt from paid overtime.
