To provide mathematics instruction according to the Arlington Public School curriculum and Massachusetts standards. This is a long term substitute position expected to begin in January 2026 and continue until the end of the school year.

Qualifications
- Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as a Mathematics Teacher at the Middle School level
- Degrees in Mathematics and Education preferred
- Experience working with students at the Middle School Level.
- Develop and deliver engaging and rigorous mathematics lessons
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of learners with varied learning profiles
- Assess student performance formally and informally, and provide timely feedback to students on their progress
- Teach five sections of grade 8 and Algebra I mathematics classes
- Collaborate with colleagues to assess student outcomes and share best practices for teaching mathematics.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture where all students feel supported and encouraged to participate.
- Follow district policies and school and department expectations with respect to instruction, grading, and communication to parents and families
- Perform other such related duties as may be required by the Director of Mathematics or Building Administrators.
