Position Summary
The Dual Language Paraprofessional provides high-quality instruction in Spanish and English, fostering students' academic, linguistic, and social-emotional development. The paraprofessional creates a language-rich environment that develops early literacy, oral language, and foundational academic skills while supporting students on the path to bilingualism and biliteracy.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver standards-aligned instruction in accordance with the school's Dual Language Program model.
• Implement district-approved curriculum, including ARC Español, Estrellita/Lunita, and EnVision Mathematics.
• Develop students' literacy and language skills in Spanish and English.
• Use assessment data to monitor progress and inform instruction.
• Establish strong classroom routines, procedures, and expectations.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues through CPT, PLCs, coaching cycles, and professional development.
• Build strong partnerships with families and participate in schoolwide initiatives.
