Job description:
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Road Striper to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality pavement markings to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow on roads, parking lots, and other paved surfaces.
Responsibilities
- Work with striping crew to layout and install pavement markings on roadways, parking lots, and airports, etc.
- Operate equipment to place paint, thermoplastic, and other pavement markings.
- Prepare work areas, transport materials, and operate company trucks
- Implement striping plans and preform layout, including intersection markings.
- Install and remove temporary tape
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspection and ensure equipment is in working order.
- Perform standard, preventative maintenance on all pavement marking equipment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in pavement marking, highway construction, or a related field
- Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology, including smart phones and applications.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and good driving record, a CDL license is preferred.
- Must have a good driving record with no major violations
- Typical physical demands of this job include sitting, standing, walking, climbing, reaching, lifting minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must be willing to work days, nights, weekends, and travel.
