This position will report to the Program Coordinator Senior. Work may require travel to other Phoenix area campuses, as well as apartment communities. Require some weekend and evening hours.
Will coordinate and plan student engagement activities, creation of Welcome Kits that set the tone for off-campus engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work in partnership with off-campus affiliate housing communities to develop host programming events to connect off-campus students.
- Work in partnership with Program Coordinator Senior and off-campus student interns and other key student roles to develop programming.
- Create opportunities for students to connect through hosting affinity events, as well as other programmatic events with apartment communities.
- Create and disseminate new and existing electronic messages promoting safe ways to connect and build friendships, active bystander (upstander) behaviors, positive norms, and creative ways to build connections.
- Collaborate with apartment managers, FSL house managers, and their employees to provide presentation/discussions sessions (virtual or in-person).
- Develop a Welcome Kit for off-campus residents to include information about healthy community norms, expectations for off-campus residents, safety tips, alcohol and other drug education and program collateral.
- Prepare bi-weekly newsletters and social messaging.
- Prepare reports and data analysis.
- Other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social-behavioral sciences, public health, and/or related field.
- Enrolled in a graduate Master’s degree program at ASU.
- Must be a local AZ resident.
- Evidence of focus on details.
- Knowledge of health education, college health, public health, student development and stages of development
- Skill in relationship building with internal and external partners.
- Skill in verbal and written communication.
- Skill in public speaking/training facilitation.
- Experience with planning and implementing training programs.

- Sit or stand for the duration of shift
- Work collaboratively across various departments within the University and with diverse populations and groups to support student success
- Have proficiency in computing and various computer platforms - including inputting, reviewing and retrieving information, extended periods of viewing screen, using mouse and keyboard, and sitting
- Use critical thinking to make decisions and/or analyze data
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Travel through campus for meetings or events, based on departmental need
