ASU Cultural Affairs is seeking a professional to provide administrative, data management and event support to the development efforts for ASU Gammage, ASU Kerr and ASU 365 Community Union. This position has direct contact with high level donors. The primary hours for this position are Monday- Friday 8am to 5pm as well as night and weekend hours depending on events. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Development for Cultural Affairs.
Essential Duties:
- Work within the policies and framework of the ASU Foundation regarding donors, including but not limited to all donations, gift recording and processing, donor engagement, donor solicitations and donor tracking
- Process, scan and record donations
- Run weekly acknowledgement reports and creating acknowledgments for donors
- Track sponsorship recognition
- Write contributions and editorial work for the Inner Circle magazine
- Utilize Salesforce to create donor opportunities, record engagements, gift administration, track expenses, travel coordination, etc.
- Track annual gifts for names on portfolios while confirming if an opportunity has been created and alerting RM before submitting donation into to the ASU Foundation
- Serve as a consistent check in person at the ASU Gammage VIP Lounge ensuring a smoother and consistent check in process during events
- Assist Donor Relations Coordinator with events and stewardship projects to increase personalized donor interaction as part of the donor’s journey
- Monitor the VIP Membership and Ticketing telephone line, including assisting donors in ticket needs
- Assist in the VIP Membership Benefit mailing at the beginning of each season
- Input donor information into Archtics so that both Archtics and Salesforce are both up to date with current donor information
- Track and input donor information in Salesforce and Archtics
- Serve as administrative support to the Assistant Director of Development.
- Uphold a high degree of professionalism, ethical conduct, confidentiality, and customer service in all daily interactions
- Run errands, which may require driving a 7-passenger van and/or electric golf cart
- Develop a personal code of conduct to help ensure our work environment is welcoming, equitable and supports our department mission and core values along with the ASU Charter
- Coordinate special projects as assigned and perform other administrative duties as needed
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of principles and techniques of development/fundraising, preferably in arts administration or higher education
- Knowledge of standard policies and procedures regarding donors and donations, gift processing, donor privacy, donor correspondence and donor tracking in Salesforce, etc.
- Knowledge of basic project management and event management strategies
- Persistent and creative problem solving abilities
- Skill in establishing and maintaining good public relations and effective working relationships
- Skill in planning special events and fundraising activities
- Knowledge of mail merge process and ability to complete Word and email mail merge projects
- Knowledge of Aventri or similar event planning application
- Skill in time management and prioritizing
- Skill in written and verbal communication
- Skill in coordinating and prioritizing work and activities of self, while working in a fast-paced environment subject to multiple and often conflicting demands under minimal supervision
- Ability to manage multiple, diverse projects and meet deadlines, expectations while maintaining attention to detail and organization
- Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality
- Ability to drive on university business and possess a valid US driver license upon employment
- Ability to work flexible hours for events scheduled on evenings and weekends
Working Environment:
- Ability to clearly communicate verbally, read, write, see and hear to perform essential functions
- Skill in organizing work of self and handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines and expectations while maintaining attention to detail
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds

Salary:
$44,000 to $45,000 per year
