Responsibilities
- Manage the collections process for assigned accounts, ensuring timely and efficient collection of outstanding debts
- Conduct thorough account reviews, identifying delinquent accounts and prioritizing collection efforts
- Communicate effectively with clients via phone, email, and in-person to resolve payment issues and negotiate payment plans
- Maintain accurate records of all collection activities, documenting interactions and outcomes in our financial systems
- Collaborate with internal teams to address disputes and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the collections process
- Prepare and present regular reports on collection performance, outstanding balances, and aging accounts to management
- Adhere to company policies and legal requirements regarding collections and customer interactions
- 5 years experience in credit & collections
- Experience working in Accounting (A/P, A/R, GAAP standards)
- Experience using an ERP system - any implementation experience a plus
- Excellent customer service experience
- Experience working in a warehouse or mnaufacturing environment a plus - this is a casual office environment
