Credit Collection Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and results-driven Collections Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments, and maintaining excellent relationships with our clients. Your expertise will help streamline our collections process and mitigate financial risks. This is an on-site position Monday-Friday. It may start out temp to hire.. Benefits available after 90 days on our payroll.

Responsibilities

• Manage the collections process for assigned accounts, ensuring timely and efficient collection of outstanding debts
• Conduct thorough account reviews, identifying delinquent accounts and prioritizing collection efforts
• Communicate effectively with clients via phone, email, and in-person to resolve payment issues and negotiate payment plans
• Maintain accurate records of all collection activities, documenting interactions and outcomes in our financial systems
• Collaborate with internal teams to address disputes and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the collections process
• Prepare and present regular reports on collection performance, outstanding balances, and aging accounts to management
• Adhere to company policies and legal requirements regarding collections and customer interactions
  
  

Education & Experience

• 5 years experience in credit & collections
• Experience working in Accounting (A/P, A/R, GAAP standards)
• Experience using an ERP system - any implementation experience a plus
• Excellent customer service experience
• Experience working in a warehouse or mnaufacturing environment a plus - this is a casual office environment
