Key Responsibilities
Administrative Functions:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and directing the Dietary Department.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Nursing, Housekeeping) to ensure smooth operations.
- Develop and maintain dietary policies, procedures, and job descriptions.
- Ensure dietary services meet resident needs and regulatory compliance standards.
- Assist with dietary service adjustments, incident reports, and staff performance evaluations.
- Inspect food storage, manage diet changes, and ensure quality food service delivery.
- Collaborate with the Infection Preventionist and support quality assurance programs.
- Maintain accurate records, including diet preferences, progress notes, and therapeutic diet plans.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and scheduling dietary staff.
- Supervise staff, delegate responsibilities, and ensure productivity.
- Counsel or discipline staff as needed and monitor attendance.
- Support efficient meal production and maintain a positive work environment.
- Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in a healthcare or medical facility.
- Training in cost control, food management, and diet therapy preferred.
