Adult Services Residential Program Manager

Pueblo, CO

One Full-Time Position. 40 hours per week.

Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Plus, on call and work after hours as needed for the program.

Hiring Range: $71,106.80 to $77,506.41 annually, depending upon education and experience.

Minimum Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business related field and/or a social or behavioral sciences or higher.
  • Two or more years’ experience working with Developmentally Disabled population, in a management role.

Preferred:

  • Master’s in Business Administration
  • LPC, LCSW or LSW licensure.
  • Proven experience managing multiple programs simultaneously.
  • Professional experience with program development.

Position Summary

The Residential Program Manager oversees the Ariel Clinical Services Adult Services Residential Program.

Ariel Clinical Services Mission

To provide safe, nurturing, and supportive environments for our clients so that they may have the opportunities to develop their strengths, maximize their potentials and fully participate in society.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Participate in the preparation of and adherence to the department’s budget.

2. Monitor and oversee fee-for-service activities within the Adult Services Program to ensure compliance with agency standards, contractual obligations, and financial objectives.

3. Provide direct supervision of employees within the department supervised by conducting interviews; hiring and training; conducting performance appraisals; and preparing and/or recommending disciplinary action of all employees supervised.

4. Develop, implement, and maintain Agency wide Standard Operating Procedures for the department supervised as well as ensure compliance with program specific regulations.

5. Promote growth and program development of services for the Developmentally Disabled population.

6. Ability to anticipate, conceptualize and communicate the full spectrum of care including industry norms, financial impact of outcomes, customer service and individual retention goals to employees, providers, and the community.

7. Monitor and measure outcomes to assure program effectiveness and client satisfaction.

8. Ensure compliance with professional and ethical standards. Ensure files are audit ready.

9. Develop relationships and coordinate services with the community and partner agency leadership teams, review, approve and process all referrals and documentation per contract policies.

10. Recruit, train, and monitor Independent Contractors.

11. Remain visible, and mentor supervisors regarding creating and expanding program knowledge, resources and opportunities.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

1. Must work closely with other Ariel programs.

Requirements:

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. The ability to communicate respectfully and effectively in both individual and group settings.

4. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, employees, providers, and community members

6. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality concerning the client, their family, background, treatment.

7. Basic computer knowledge.

8. Be available throughout a 24-hour period on an “on-call” basis.

9. Strong knowledge of adult services agency programs and community resources.

10. Exercise independent, ethical judgment within the scope and boundaries of the department, the Agency’s Standard Operating Procedures, and Federal, State and Local Rules and Regulations regarding department operations.

11. Ability to organize and present case material in a straightforward and concise written manner.

12. Ability to demonstrate regular attendance, and to be a reliable and supportive team member.

13. Ability to always represent Ariel in a professional and respectful manner.

Education and Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business related field and/or a social or behavioral sciences or higher.

Certifications/Licenses

Required:

1. A Valid Colorado Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.

2. CPR, First Aid

3. Informed Supervision

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervises the Adult Services Residential program staff.

Physical Demands

1. This position requires that the incumbent be capable of bending, sitting, stretching, and/or reaching regularly for periods up to 2 hours without a break.

2. This position requires that the incumbent have adequate hand and finger dexterity to properly perform the functions of the position.

3. At times, physical interventions may be required.

4. This position requires lifting regularly up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.

5. This position requires the ability to hear, see, smell, and distinguish temperature, at a level which is adequate to ensure persons receiving services and staff health and safety. Adaptive devices are acceptable.

6. This position will require daily driving of up to 1 hour per day and occasionally up to 8 hours per day.

Work Environment

1. This position can and will be exposed to all environments from quiet to noisy, climate controlled to extreme outdoor heat and cold.

2. Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious disease is possible but limited.

3. Exposure to hazardous chemicals is possible but limited.
