The Role:  We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and highly driven Principal Software Engineer to lead our technical architecture and product execution, reporting directly to the CTO. As an early and critical member of our engineering leadership team, you will be responsible for defining our technical strategy, and building scalable systems while laying the foundation for a world-class product organization.

You understand the nuances of complex software architecture—and more importantly, you know how to execute hands on, navigate technical debt efficiently, build infrastructure scale, and find creative ways to ship product fast without sacrificing quality. You aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves, lean on your core skills, and build the flagship architecture that will define ArgusEye's platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Architecture: Own the end-to-end technical stack, from early SaaS prototyping to deploying a highly secure, enterprise-grade production environment.
• Master and Implement theTech Stack: Deeply understand and lead development across our core technologies. Write high-quality, scalable code in Rust, React, TypeScript, and Python.
• Evangelize AI in Engineering: Act as a technical visionary, designing and integrating LLMs and AI agentic workflows directly into the product to accelerate threat modeling and risk mitigation.
• Build the Foundation: Create repeatable engineering practices, enhance our SDLC, establish code quality standards, set up robust CI/CD pipelines and DevOps, and eventually recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing engineering team as the company scales.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Work tightly with Sales, Product, and the Founders to relay technical capabilities, refine product roadmaps, and ensure our architecture aligns with customer buying criteria and edge cases.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: 8 years of progressive software engineering experience, with a proven track record of architecting, building, and shipping complex SaaS applications.  (Optional experience Threat-Modeling is a plus)
• Key Hands-on Skills: Deep, expert-level full-stack experience (Rust, React, TypeScript, Python). We value leaders who know what it takes to build a system from scratch and respect the grind of shipping early-stage products.
• Cybersecurity DNA: Prior experience building cybersecurity solutions, threat modeling tools, or working within regulated industries is highly preferred. You should be comfortable speaking the language of AppSec / DevSecOps / Product Security.
• Startup Mentality: You are highly adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity, and thrive in a fast-moving, high-growth startup environment. You are a self-starter who doesn't wait for a playbook or an architecture diagram to be handed to you.
• Systems Acumen: A strong understanding of cloud deployments (AWS/GCP/Azure), scalable infrastructure, and the supply chain complexities involved in securing modern software and hardware.
• AI Conviction: A deep-seated belief in the value that AI can bring to the cybersecurity landscape, combined with hands-on capability to work with agentic architectures, vector search, or model orchestration.
