What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronic Test Tech position at Argus Technical Services?
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform functional tests on electronic products using specialized equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.) to verify functionality and meet specifications.
- Operating & maintain test equipment, including calibration and repair.
- Assist with the planning, scheduling, and execution of tests to validate products.
- Work with cross functional teams (internal/external) to execute test plans.
- Identify and resolve issues with electronic components and circuits, potentially involving soldering and rework.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, to ensure project and manufacturing needs are met.
- Maintain & repair wiring and harnesses used in manufacturing and validation testing.
- Assist in creation and documentation of wiring in new systems and test setups.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test processes, methodologies, and equipment.
- Ensure test strategies and equipment comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field
- 2-5 years of experience as an electronics technician or similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with electronic testing and circuitry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical drawings
- Familiarity with various test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team
- Ability to deliver and meet personal and team commitments
- Knowledge of quality standards & process a plus
