As a Precision MIG/TIG Fabricator-Welder, your day starts at the bench with blueprints and work orders. You’ll map out the weld sequence, choose the right process (MIG, TIG, or flux-core), and prepare materials. From there, you’ll measure, cut, and fit components, set up the equipment, and put down clean, structurally sound welds. Throughout the shift, you’ll verify dimensions, inspect joints for strength and appearance, and keep your work area safe and organized while meeting production goals.
What you’ll do- Use MIG, TIG, and flux-core processes on various metals to fabricate parts and assemblies
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to plan and execute jobs
- Measure, cut, and assemble metal components with accuracy
- Set up and operate welding machines and common fabrication tools
- Inspect welds to confirm quality, fit, and structural integrity
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe production work area
- Follow company safety practices and production guidelines
- Prior welding/fabrication experience preferred
- Ability to read prints and take precise measurements
- Hands-on experience with standard fabrication tools and welding equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Comfort lifting materials and working in a manufacturing environment
