Job Title: Trust Associate

REPORTING STRUCTURE: Reports to the Trust Operations Manager
GENERAL FUNCTION: The Trust Associate is responsible for performing the administrative and operational tasks necessary to ensure client satisfaction.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and rebalance account funds as directed. Includes reviewing trade and money movement directives and processing for execution.
- Open and close client accounts
- Process client instructions regarding money movement
- Take appropriate steps to avoid overdrafts to accounts
- Complete all transition related paperwork promptly and accurately
- Process properly authorized invoiced payment requests of clients
- Answer clients questions daily and work closely with Relationship Managers on escalated client inquiries and directives
- Process checks into CSS promptly and accurately
- Support the processing of recurring monthly pension and lump sum distributions promptly and accurately
- Perform quality control monitoring daily ensuring daily work actioned and initiated transaction activity accurately processed
- Support the preparation of administration reviews of clients
- Complete filing, research, and imaging promptly and accurately
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Prepare wire transfer, ACH and check disbursements
- Maintain procedures and checklists, including necessary enhancements, to streamline operational workflow processes and tighten quality control measures
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- BS or BA Degree with emphasis in Finance/Accounting or equivalent work experience
- 1-3 years administrative experience in trust or investment management
- Ability to multi-task
- Careful attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software and Adobe
- Familiar with trust accounting technology and able to learn job required systems and programs
