General Job Description
The Wealth Advisor and Relationship Manager will handle a portfolio of wealth management accounts for high-net-worth clients, including multi-generational families. This role involves overseeing the service and business development of investment management, trust services and other financial planning solutions. The role is expected to build and maintain a network of centers of influence and take a proactive approach to client communication and service coordination. This position requires strong financial planning capabilities and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of fiduciary duty.
Essential Duties
- Drive business development, client retention, and service delivery to individuals and families around their wealth planning needs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, prospects and other interested parties, understanding their needs, goals, and providing financial solutions.
- Lead wealth planning advice, awareness and education for clients, and centers of influence in a teamwork environment.
- Implement investment strategies aligned with clients’ goals using various investment vehicles, regularly reviewing and adjusting portfolios.
- Partner closely with an Argent Wealth and Trust team of professionals to develop and serve a book of client relationships.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with centers of influence such as CPAs and attorneys to ensure a network of professional advisor resources for clients and for new business referrals to Argent.
- Stay updated on developments in the financial services industry and commit to continued professional growth in financial planning competencies.
- Represent the company in community organizations and activities to build brand awareness.
- Prepare Annual Relationship Reviews and ensure all accounts comply with regulatory requirements; manage risk and ensure compliance with all relevant company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Oversee the preparations of client meeting reports and materials, coordinate follow-up actions, and document client information and communications in client file.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor's degree, with advanced degree or MBA preferred.
- 5 - 7 years of experience in financial services, investments, tax or trust and estate legal field.
- Client focused and solutions-oriented wealth advisory experience
- Sales oriented, friendly and persuasive personality.
- Knowledge of investment products.
- Expertise in the areas of financial planning and estate planning techniques.
- Demonstrated success working in team environment.
- Excellent writing and presentations skills.
- Ability to organize, complete multiple tasks within deadlines and complete accuracy.
- CFP Designation (or current candidate) preferred.
