As an RF Test Technician, you'll play a key role in testing, troubleshooting, calibrating, repairing, and adjusting sophisticated RF instruments, sub-assemblies, RF assemblies, and complete hardware systems. You'll work hands-on with advanced RF test equipment, electronic hardware, precision measurement tools, and technical documentation while supporting products operating from DC through 40 GHz. What You'll Do:
- Perform RF testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of instruments, RF assemblies, sub-assemblies, and complete hardware systems across frequencies from DC to 40 GHz.
- Operate sophisticated RF test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, vector network analyzers, current probes, voltmeters, and RF power measurement equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, engineering instructions, and manufacturing documentation while applying fundamental DC and RF principles.
- Analyze test data, troubleshoot equipment and assemblies, perform component-level repairs and adjustments, and maintain accurate test, calibration, and system records.
- Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams in a small, high-output environment, with the opportunity to take on increased responsibility and grow into a future leadership or supervisory role.
What You'll Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent with 5 years of formal electronic and mechanical assembly experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with RF testing, electronic testing, troubleshooting, calibration, and assembly, including experience with RF test and measurement equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and work with hand tools and soldering equipment.
- Strong understanding of DC and RF concepts, including voltage, current, power, frequency, insertion loss, return loss, linearity, phase noise, noise figure, and spectral analysis.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, communication abilities, computer proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting production deadlines.
