Ardent Staffing Solutions is recruiting a Test Technician I for a growing advanced manufacturing organization in Marlborough, MA.
This hands-on role involves assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing opto-mechanical, electrical, and electronic assemblies. The ideal candidate has strong technical aptitude, understands schematics and blueprints, and is comfortable using diagnostic tools in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and test opto-mechanical, electrical, and electronic assemblies
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment using multimeters, oscilloscopes, gauges, and software-based testers
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and work instructions
- Assist with the creation and revision of product documentation
- Identify errors or missing information in existing procedures and communicate findings to Engineering
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to resolve technical issues
- Support improvements to assembly and testing procedures
- Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing standards
- Accurately document completed work and test results
Qualifications
- Two to three years of experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems is preferred
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, gauges, or similar diagnostic equipment
- Familiarity with tools used in equipment assembly, repair, installation, or maintenance
- Basic understanding of safety and quality-control procedures
- Strong computer and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently in a professional manufacturing environment
- Welding experience is a plus
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Must be available to work overtime when needed
