We are currently seeking an intellectually and culturally curious Design Intern to work alongside Project Managers and Designers on projects ranging from objects and furniture to retail and ground-up residential work. Responsibilities may include image research, drafting, product sourcing, 3D modeling, and general office support. We are a tight-knit studio and are looking for a candidate who can quickly integrate into the team and embrace the energy of a lively studio culture. Ideal candidates will have strong conceptual, design, and graphic abilities, and must be currently pursuing a degree in interior design, architecture, or a related field. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and Rhino is required.
Rafael de Cárdenas, Ltd. (RDC) is a seasoned resource for design vision and execution, with wide-ranging projects in residential and commercial interiors, temporary spaces, furniture, and integrated objects.
RDC was founded in 2006 as a small office in Chinatown, NYC. The practice remains based in New York City and works internationally. We maintain a small, dedicated staff of professional designers with diverse backgrounds. Working with an international team of collaborators including artists, fabricators, and artisans, the studio is currently developing projects in North America, Eastern and Western Europe, and Asia.
