Job Scope And Major Responsibilities
- Full-time, entry-level professional performing basic architectural assignments, typically part of a team
- Undertake a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard architectural techniques for small projects or selected segments of a larger project
- Perform design layouts and features, which require researching, compiling, and recording information for assigned project work
- Work closely with project managers and/or design team to ensure the project is completed on time and according to the specified design
- Assist with construction document preparation
- Strong model building skills
- Strong graphic presentation skills
- Preparation of meeting minutes
- Ability to contribute to an energetic, fast-paced creative process to develop innovative design solutions
- Flexibility to move between multiple deadlines as needed
- Expected to assist with miscellaneous office tasks
- One (one) to 3 (three) years of experience, preferably in high-end and/or multi – family residential, hospitality, or commercial projects
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture
- Working knowledge of the full design process including but not limited to Concept, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Documentation and Administration, Procurement, etc
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe CS (including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), Rhino, Revit, SketchUp, and V-ray
- Strong conceptual, design, and presentation skills
- Organizational and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and energetic team member with the ability to meet project timelines and actively add to the design conversation
- Proven ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Proficient in MS Word, and Excel
- Resides in the New York City area and is available to work immediately
