Job Description

Almost Studio is currently accepting applications for a full-time Junior Architect position.

Role: Junior Architect

• This is an in-person / in-office position
  
  

Experience: 0-4 years experience in architectural offices, including leadership roles within design and project management

Requirements

• Education: Professional architectural degree (M.Arch or B.Arch)
• Priority will be given to applicants with higher levels of experience working in architecture offices:
• Full-time, either before or after your professional architectural program
• Summer internships during your architectural program
• With prior construction drawing set experience
• Software and Skills:
• Digital
• Drawing and 3D Modeling: Rhino (drawing and 3D modeling) and AutoCAD (drawing and sheet sets) proficiencies are required
• Editing, Graphics, and Presentations: Adobe Creative Suites -- especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat are required
• Rendering: proficiency is required and heavily weighted
• Final Production: VRay, Corona, or other
• Daily Design: Enscape; expertise and control are preferred
• Additional & Distinguishing: D5, Keyshot, Blender, Twinmotion, etc.
• Animation / Video / Website: The following are especially noteworthy and potential distinguishing factors:
• Animation / Video editing experience
• Coding and website experience
• Manual
• Drawing and sketching
• Painting, mixed-media, printmaking, etc.
• Physical model making
• English fluency is required and you must be a US Citizen or have a US work visa and be authorized to work in the US.
  

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $65,000 - $72,000
• Commensurate with previous professional experience
• Benefits

• Professional development working directly with the firm directors and licensure support
• Project Management skills including direct client relationships and working on projects from initial concepts through to construction drawing sets and construction administration site visits.

Timeline

• Video and in-person interviews will be taking place during the month of April, and the beginning of May at the latest.
• Start date: April / May / June (dependent on the selected candidate); no later than June
