Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Fry Cook to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of fried foods efficiently and according to the menu.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook a variety of fried foods including french fries, and seafood
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Monitor stock levels and place orders when there are shortages
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Fry Cook or similar role in a restaurant or catering kitchen
- Knowledge of food safety principles and practices
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Excellent time management abilities
- Culinary school diploma is a plus
