$19.00 per hour — plus a $2.00/hour summer bonus paid weekly through September

Full time, 32 hours/week | Shift: 12:45 PM to close (as late as 10 PM) | One weekend day required

Role Overview

Tideway Market is a family-owned convenience store, fuel station, and kitchen in Hancock. We are more than a gas stop — we are a gathering place, and our food is a big part of why people keep coming back. We are hiring a full-time Evening Food Service Team Member to run our grill/fry and pizza stations through the dinner rush and close the kitchen down right. You will work alongside our Evening Food Service Leader as part of a small, steady evening crew.

Key Responsibilities

Cook and serve grill, fryer, and pizza orders quickly and to standard through evening and dinner rushes

Prep, stock, and hold product so we do not run out — and so quality never slips to get there

Serve customers directly with genuine friendliness, including at the register when needed

Follow all food safety, temperature, and holding standards every shift

Complete closing duties: full station cleaning, equipment breakdown, restocking, and setting the morning crew up for success

Sign off on closing checklists honestly and accurately

Communicate clearly with your shift lead about issues, shortages, or anything that needs attention

Cross-train into additional areas of the store (cooler, retail floor) once you are solid in food service

Requirements & Qualifications

Reliable. You show up, on time, every scheduled shift. This is a closing role and the team counts on you.

Available 12:45 PM to close, including at least one weekend day.

Physically able to stand and stay active for a full 8-hour shift and lift or carry up to 30 lbs.

A sense of urgency during rushes, with the ability to stay calm and friendly under pressure.

Willing and able to learn. We will train you on every station.

Team-first attitude with zero interest in drama or gossip.

Experience is a plus. Food service, line cook, or kitchen experience helps — but attitude and work ethic matter most.

Must be 18 or older.
