Weekend Shift! We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Marijuana Budtender to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, educate customers on product options, and ensure a welcoming shopping experience. This role requires a strong understanding of cannabis products, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Bilingual abilities and previous retail or grocery store experience are highly valued to enhance customer interactions and sales effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting cannabis products based on their preferences and needs, providing detailed product information and recommendations.
- Conduct product demos and educate customers on different strains, consumption methods, and effects to enhance their shopping experience.
- Operate POS systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability.
- Upsell additional products and promote special offers to maximize sales opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all legal regulations regarding cannabis sales and store policies.
- Provide excellent customer service by maintaining professional phone etiquette and addressing customer inquiries promptly.
- Supervise or assist in supervising team members as needed, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales, grocery stores, or similar customer service roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math is essential.
- Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, merchandising, stock management, and cash handling is highly desirable.
- Bilingual skills are a plus to better serve diverse customer bases.
- Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities within the team.
- Strong communication skills, friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide knowledgeable guidance are critical for success in this role.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
