Job Summary
St Bridget of Kildare Catholic School, a faith-based learning community, is seeking qualified and dedicated Substitute Teachers to support student learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. The Substitute Teacher is responsible for maintaining a positive, structured, and faith-filled classroom environment that promotes student learning and upholds Catholic values.
Job Responsibilities
Pre-Employment Screening

The screening will include criminal background check, Family Care Safety Registration, drug screen, employment and educational licensure/certification verification, health screening, and any other screenings deemed necessary for employment. Any offer would be contingent upon successful completion of any required screening.

- Deliver instructional plans and materials provided by the regular classroom teacher.
- Maintain classroom routines, procedures, and discipline in accordance with school policies.
- Supervise students in all areas of the school environment to ensure a safe and respectful learning atmosphere.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture rooted in Catholic teachings and values.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and school leadership.
- Leave clear documentation of the day’s activities and any significant student issues for the returning teacher.
- Uphold and model the mission and vision of Catholic education.
- High school diploma or equivalent (some schools may require a bachelor’s degree).
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Respect for the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Ability to pass background checks and meet diocesan safe environment requirements.
