Job Summary
St. Cecilia School and Academy is seeking a Middle School English Language Arts Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The teacher is responsible for providing instruction aligned with Archdiocesan curriculum standards while supporting the mission and philosophy of Catholic education.

Pre-Employment Screening
All candidates receiving an employment offer must submit a pre-employment screening. The screening will include criminal background check, Family Care Safety Registration, drug screen, employment and educational licensure/certification verification, health screening, and any other screenings deemed necessary for employment. Any offer would be contingent upon successful completion of any required screening.

Responsibilities
- Teach English Language Arts to middle school students
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons in reading, writing, grammar, and literature
- Assess student learning and maintain required academic records
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Maintain a positive, structured, and faith‑centered learning environment
- Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or related field
- Missouri teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain)
- Middle school teaching experience preferred
- Familiarity with Catholic education preferred
