St. Joseph Parish School is seeking a PreK through 8th grade Physical Education and Health teacher candidate for the 2026–2027 school year. St. Joseph Parish School is located in both Issaquah, WA (preschool through 3rd grade) and Snoqualmie, WA (4th–8th grade). We have one class per grade with a total of 188 students. The mission of St. Joseph Parish School, in partnership with parents and the parish community, is to form the hearts and minds of children through the example of Jesus Christ.

Qualifications

• Current teaching certificate in Washington State (or another state) in Physical Education or the ability to pursue one (preferred)
• Knowledge of physical education curriculum and age-appropriate physical development
• Experience teaching physical education and/or health to children of various ages
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Ability to foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyle habits among students
• Skilled at differentiation of instruction to support all learners
• Commitment to Catholic Education
  
  

Organizational Practices

• Teach .75 FTE Physical Education curriculum to PreK–8th grade students
• Provide Health instruction appropriate to grade level
• Promote physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and lifelong healthy habits
• Plan and facilitate school-wide physical activity opportunities (such as field day)
• Participate actively in meetings with colleagues to ensure consistency in academic assessments and student behavioral expectations
• Engage in regular, effective communication with parents and families
• Differentiate instruction to ensure growth for all students
• Participate in regular professional development
• Establish clear classroom expectations and routines

Salary: The salary range for this position is from $43,500 - $65,250. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
