Since its establishment in 1966 by the Archdiocese of Hartford, St. Paul Catholic High School has educated, nurtured and, and prepared nearly 7,000 students to meet the challenges of colleges and their career options.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures, along with the Administration, that the mission of St. Paul Catholic High School and the Catholic identity of the school are clearly articulated and carried out to all constituents.
Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.
Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Develops and implements engaging lesson plans.
Has high motivation and task orientation.
Has superior instructional skills, with a commitment to interdisciplinary instruction.
Carries out teaching assignments effectively.
Works as a department member and a member of the faculty.
Consults with teachers, administrators, staff, and parents on a continuous basis.
Carries out all facets of the position consistently and enthusiastically.
Requirements
Connecticut Teaching Certificate in English.
Bachelor's Degree or higher in English.
References (both professional and personal).
Must submit to a background check and Virtus training.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong leadership skills.
