Description
- The Endoscopy Assistant performs all duties promptly and in a competent manner according to the facilities policies and procedures.
- Identifies patients with two patient identifiers.
- Walks patients from waiting room to pre-operative area.
- Instructs patients on appropriate donning of patient gown.
- Covers patients with warm blankets, connects patients to cardiac monitor and obtains vital signs.
- Reports any abnormal values to nurse.
- Brings patients’ family members to bedside.
- Provides patients with drinks post-operatively
- Takes patient to their cars in wheel chairs.
- Cleans and makes up stretchers.
- Other duties assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required
