The position is for an Itinerant Elementary Music Teacher. Monday-Friday (part-time hours every day). The desired candidate will have: Instrumental music (Band & Orchestra) experience preferred Experience working with elementary-age students Sites: Highland Oaks, Holly Avenue, Hugo Reid Elementaries

REQUIREMENTS: To be included as attachments with your online application: 1) Cover Letter (addressed to Patricia Mattera, Director of Educational Services) 2) Resume 3) A minimum of three (3) current letters of recommendation 4) Detailed Credential copy of one of the following: Valid Single Subject Music with English Learner Authorization (ELA 1, CLAD, BCLAD, ELAS, etc.) OR Valid Multiple Subject Credential with Music Authorization and English Learner Authorization -The District can obtain an Emergency EL permit; the candidate must consent to work toward an EL Authorization. Experience in Music, Band, Marching Band, or Orchestra preferred (Detailed copy - must be current and reflect eff/exp dates, document number REQUIRED, embedded authorizations such as English Learner, Not the Ornate copy) If you are currently finishing student teaching, but do not yet have a CA credential issued by CTC, please provide written documentation from the university that you are on track to finish with an anticipated completion date listed 5) EL Certification (CLAD, ELA 1, ELAS, etc) 6) Transcripts – BA/BS degree and beyond (for salary offer placement) REQUIRED 7) CSET Copies or other Subject Matter verification

Collaborative team player who maintains a growth mindset and centers student wellness. Experience designing and implementing a curriculum that is engaging for students and meets their diverse needs. Willing to teach a variety of courses within your certification to meet the needs of the school. Excited to be an active and involved member of our supportive and inclusive school communities.

Benefits: Certificated ATA $12,945.50 annually for 2026-27 (or maximum cashback of $10,957.00 minus the cost of mandatory dental, optional vision, and life if you can provide proof of other employer-sponsored coverage). Fingerprinting and Background Check: -All new employees must be fingerprinted for the Arcadia Unified School District. If you have previously been fingerprinted for employment with Arcadia Unified, this step may not be required. -Fingerprints are used to conduct a confidential background investigation. -Disclosure of Convictions: All candidates with a record of convictions are required to disclose this information in the designated sections of the EDJOIN application. A conviction record will not automatically disqualify an applicant; however, failure to disclose all convictions may lead to disqualification from the hiring process or dismissal if hired. -Please note that these fingerprints are separate from any fingerprints completed with any other organizations, including the Commission on Teacher Credentialing, and are required for employment.
