About the Position
As an Adult Day Program Instructor, you will support and enrich the lives of individuals with IDD by leading activities, teaching life skills, and creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. You will work with clients from diverse backgrounds and with unique needs, providing respectful and empowering support every day. This role is hands-on, engaging, and vital to helping our clients thrive.
What You’ll Do
- Lead engaging and diverse activities, including cooking, exercise, art, music, games, academics, and community outings.
- Teach essential life skills such as self-care, money management, problem-solving, and social interaction.
- Create a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment that aligns with program requirements and client preferences.
- Maintain timely and accurate records of daily activities and client progress.
- Actively participate in training, team meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Drive Arc of Butte County vehicles as needed.

- Driving Requirements: Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and minimum of 2 years driving experience.
Physical Requirements
- Must pass a post offer pre-employment background check, non- arduous physical, drug/TB screen
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing administrative tasks
- Ability to lift and move office files or supplies up to 15 pounds
- Ability to reach, bend and kneel to access filing cabinets or storage areas
- Ability to work in a standard office environment, with occasional movement between internal office spaces
- Reliable transportation to and from the office
