About the Position

As an Adult Day Program Instructor, you will support and enrich the lives of individuals with IDD by leading activities, teaching life skills, and creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. You will work with clients from diverse backgrounds and with unique needs, providing respectful and empowering support every day. This role is hands-on, engaging, and vital to helping our clients thrive.

What You’ll Do

• Lead engaging and diverse activities, including cooking, exercise, art, music, games, academics, and community outings.
• Teach essential life skills such as self-care, money management, problem-solving, and social interaction.
• Create a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment that aligns with program requirements and client preferences.
• Maintain timely and accurate records of daily activities and client progress.
• Actively participate in training, team meetings, and professional development opportunities.
• Drive Arc of Butte County vehicles as needed.

• Educational Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications or experience preferred.
• Driving Requirements: Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and minimum of 2 years driving experience.

Physical Requirements

• Must pass a post offer pre-employment background check, non- arduous physical, drug/TB screen
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing administrative tasks
• Ability to lift and move office files or supplies up to 15 pounds
• Ability to reach, bend and kneel to access filing cabinets or storage areas
• Ability to work in a standard office environment, with occasional movement between internal office spaces
• Reliable transportation to and from the office

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $18.30 per hour
